A steady voice at 3am, who knows which night you’re on.
Your coach has your plan open: tonight’s intervals, your feed windows, the decision rules. At 2 a.m. it gives you the next step with the clock on it; in the morning it reads your four numbers and sends tonight’s row; when a change is called for, it makes it and writes it into your plan. Any hour, on your account page or by email — always inside safe-sleep guidance, and honest about when a question belongs to your pediatrician instead.
- Knows your plan and which night you are on
- Chat or email, any hour
- Cancel in one click
- Not a doctor, and says so
The questions that come up between plans.
“Is this normal?”
The most common question, and the one with the most reassuring answers. The coach knows the real ranges at every age and says when your baby is inside them.
“It was working. Now it isn’t.”
Crawling, a cold, a trip, a new tooth, a new sibling. The coach helps you tell a wobble from a change of plan — and stays consistent with the plan you already have.
“What do I do tonight?”
One thing, not ten. The coach leads with the most useful step for tonight and saves the rest for tomorrow.
Transitions
Dropping the swaddle, the pacifier, the third nap, the crib rail. Moving rooms. Starting daycare. Time zones (and the honest truth that nobody has studied babies and jet lag).
Your own sleep
How to carve out a protected block tonight, how to split the night with a partner, and what to do when you are at the end of your rope.
Knowing its limits
Snoring, breathing pauses, growth worries, unusual movements, your own mood — the coach stops and sends you to the right person, with the words to use.
Honest about what it is.
The coach runs on a large language model from Microsoft (Azure OpenAI), with a long set of instructions written by us. Those instructions include a research library we compiled — several hundred published sources on infant sleep, safe sleep, behavioural approaches and the myths that don’t hold up — and a set of rules it cannot break: the AAP safe-sleep recommendations are never softened; no sleep training under six months; nothing about medication, supplements or melatonin; night feeds are never cut when growth is in question; and anything on the red-flag list goes to your pediatrician, with clear instructions on how soon.
It is not a person, and it is not a doctor. It is very good at steady, specific, research-grounded company when you need it. If you ever want a human, we are one email away.
90 days with the bundle. Then $19 a month, only if you want it.
The Sleep Plan
A written plan for your baby, your home and your limits.
- A 10-minute questionnaire about your baby, your nights and what you're willing to do
- A real plan, not advice: the approach chosen for your baby, exact check times or chair positions for each of the first 14 nights, bedtime and nap times worked out for your baby, a night-feed plan with windows, and decision points on nights 3, 5, 7 and 14
- A safe-sleep check of your set-up and a "when to call your pediatrician" card
- Ready in a few minutes — in your account and your inbox
- Printable, downloadable as Word, and yours to keep
Just the plan. You can add the coach afterwards from your account page.
Plan + Coach
The plan, plus a coach in your corner for the nights that follow.
- Everything in the Sleep Plan
- 90 days of the AI Sleep Coach — three months of support
- Ask anything, any hour — on the website or by email
- The coach knows which night you are on and gives tonight's exact next step — at 2 a.m. or over morning coffee
- Knows the limits: it sends you to your pediatrician when something needs one
One payment, nothing renews. After 90 days the coach simply pauses — keep it for $19/month if you want it, or not. Your plan is yours either way.
Keeping the coach afterwards
When your bundle's 90 days are up, plan holders can keep the coach for $19 a month from their account page — cancel any time. The coach isn't sold on its own: it works from your questionnaire and your plan.
Secure payment by Stripe. Lamplight is parenting education and comfort support, not medical advice.
About the coach
What is the AI Sleep Coach, really?
A chat-based coach, available any hour, that has read your questionnaire and your plan. It is built on a large language model from Microsoft (Azure OpenAI), with a long set of instructions written by us: the research it may draw on, the safe-sleep rules it must never soften, the questions it must route to a pediatrician, and the tone it should take with a parent at 3am. It is not a person and it is not a doctor. It is very good at steady, specific, research-grounded encouragement when you need it.
What does the coach cost, and can I cancel?
The Plan + Coach bundle is $129, once, and includes 90 days of the coach. Nothing renews — when the 90 days are up the coach simply pauses. If you want to keep going, plan holders can add the monthly coach from their account page for $19 a month; it cancels in one click — no calls, no forms — and you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for.
Can I get the coach without the plan?
No — and that is deliberate. The coach is only as good as what it knows about your baby, and everything it knows comes from your questionnaire and your plan. So it comes with the plan: 90 days in the bundle, then $19 a month from your account page if you want to keep it.
Can I email the coach instead of using the website?
Yes. From your account page, switch on email coaching and confirm the address you want to write from. After that, an email to the coach gets a reply in the same thread, the same way the website chat does — same coach, same memory of your family. Email replies are for sleep questions only and are never the right channel for an emergency — call 911.
A little light for the long nights.
A written plan for your baby, your home and your limits from $79 — or $129 with 90 days of the AI Sleep Coach included.
